The Library of Visual and Applied Arts is housed in the Thomas building in Thermi (above Praktiker). The library space is divided into the following spaces: books, journals, audiovisual projection room, and circulation desk. Books and journals are located in an open-stacks area, which is also used as a reading room.
The Library collection consists of monographs, audiovisual material, journals, a collection of posters for art exhibitions, and an archive of invitations to art events (organized mainly in Thessaloniki from 1991-2010). The Library keeps a printed index of the Greek journal ARTI (issues 1-39, 1990-1998).

The Library of Visual and Applied Arts started operating in 1985, immediately after the establishment of the School of Visual and Applied Arts. The scientific management of its materials by specialized library staff started in 1990.
