Evelpidis Chrysos Collection

The library owned by Chrysos Evelpidis was given to the University of Thessaloniki at his request by his widow, Nellie Evelpidi. According to the printed catalogue of the Chrysos Evelpidis bequest, his library contains 8639 volumes of books on agronomy, forestry, economics, sociology, law, etc.

Biographical information: 

Chrysos Evelpidis was born in Istanbul in 1895 and died in Athens in 1971. Agronomist, engineer and politician, with a special interest in agricultural economy and sociology, he studied agronomy at the University of Montpellier in France and political science at the University of Athens.
