Archive of Modern Greek Literature

This Archive, which belongs to the Faculty of Philosophy, Department of Medieval & Modern Greek Studies, was established in 1973 as an annex of the then Centre for Modern Greek Literature and Folklore Studies.

It contains books by important Greek authors (Alkiviadis Giannopoulos, Stratis Doukas, Odysseas Elytis, Aggelos Sikelianos, N.G. Pentzikis, Melissanthi, Melpo Axioti, K. Kavafis, K. Palamas, Ι. Psycharis, A. Pallis, Z. Papantoniou, etc.).

The Modern Greek Literature Archive Collection comprises 4179 digitised documents from the private archives of prominent Modern Greek linguists and authors: Manuscripts, autographs, proofs, letters, photographs, newspapers and literary reviews.

The Archive of Modern Greek Literature is located in the Faculty of Philosophy - old building, room 106.
