The Library of Physics was founded in 1978, when, with the completion of the Biology Building, the School of Physics was granted a space for its installation. The Library also serves the School of Informatics. Today its activities include, in addition to the reference and loan services of users-members, the processing of book and journal acquisitions of the Department, and the cataloging of them.
