This collection mainly pertains to the “Thermaikos” Hellenic Railways Organisation Choir and the cultural life of Greeks in Istanbul. It includes photographs, documents, publications and reviews of musical performances and famous artists.
This collection and the Michail Hadjimichail Collection were donated to the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Library as part of the Ioannis Mandakas collection.
Biographical information:
Constantinos Floros (18xx-) is the father of Epaminondas Floros, teacher of Ioannis Mandakas. Epaminondas Floros (1892-1966) founded in 1926 the first private conservatory in Thessaloniki named 'Macedonian Musical School'. His son Constantin Floros (1930 - ) is a well noted musicologist in the Hamburg University.
