Biographical information:
Vasilios Kyriazopoulos (1903-1991) was a professor of meteorology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki from 1942 to 1968.
In 1949 the Urban Planning Committee of the Thessaloniki University headed by Mr Kyriazopoulos submitted a new building and urban development programme for the university campus. In the context of that project Vasilios Kyriazopoulos photographed the university campus area before and after the construction of the new buildings.
Known to be a student of AUTh history, he was appointed to write a tribute celebrating the University’s first half-century.
