Electronic Documents Delivery Service (NILDE), HEAL-Link

Nilde logoThe Electronic Documents Delivery Service has been developed under the Operational Program "Digital Convergence” of the NSRF (National Strategic Reference Framework) 2007–2013. It has been operating since September 2013 and it aims at public, non-profit, non-commercial organizations and libraries that are not members of the HEAL-Link.

The Greek Public Organizations, which are not members of HEAL-Link, do not have access to the full text of HEAL-Link's subscribed electronic resources. They can conduct their search (journal title, article title, authors, year of publication, volume / issue, summary) through HEAL-Link portal (www.heal-link.gr), but they cannot retrieve the full text.

The Electronic Documents Delivery Service of scientific articles allows libraries and end users of public, non-profit, non-commercial organizations (funded by the Government) to request the full text of scientific articles for educational and research purposes. HEAL-Link's staff identifies the material and sends a copy of the electronic scientific article to them through an Inter Library Loan (ILL) and Secure Electronic Document Delivery (SEDD) Software (NILDE), according to the clauses included in the HEAL-Link license agreements with the publishers.

The Electronic Documents Delivery Service is in pilot operation and is offered without any cost for the participating organizations. HEAL-Link's goal is to continue to offer this Service without cost to the participating organizations and after the end of the NSRF 2007-2013.
